Wei Fang, Ph.D; President and Co-founder

With over 18 years of scientific experience in the biological and health sciences, working with cell culture models, animal models and protein biochemistry, he co-invented the TheraKan at the University of Kansas Medial Center. His research includes characterizing the molecular and cellular mechanisms of breast cancer progression. In addition, he has published 14 papers in cancer biology, blood vessel research and molecular biology in respected peer-reviewed scientific journals including Journal of Biological Chemistry. Dr. Wei Bin Fang holds a Ph.D from Vanderbilt University.

Nikki Cheng, Ph.D; Chief Scientific Officer and Co-founder

An associate professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center, she has over 18 years of scientific research experience in the biomedical sciences. She also directs a research program that seeks to understand how wound healing and immune responses affect breast cancer progression. Her other contributions to science include the development of nanoparticle based therapies to treat invasive breast cancer. She has leveraged $2.6 million of grant funding from federal and private sources into her research program, and has over eight years of experience managing teams of 6-8 people. Dr. Nikki Cheng holds a Ph.D from Vanderbilt University.

Lillian Cheng, JD, PMP; Chief Operating Officer

Lillian's broad and diversified legal background and management experience in the federal government has turned her into a valuable and respected member in the industry. She has led and developed several high profile government projects to completion. She is senior executive service and PMP certified with extensive leadership experience when she served as President of the local and state chapter of the Virginia Jaycees. Lillian Cheng graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College and has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

Linda Cheng, MBA; Chief Marketing Officer

Linda’s extensive role and experience in the business community includes consulting with various local independent enterprises from a variety of industries including education, music and science.  She has also helped to develop and propel new products into the market with a low cost and effective marketing strategy plan. Linda Cheng holds an MBA from California State University Northridge.

James “Cliff” Hooper, MM; Chief Contracts Officer

James’ 7 years experience in the technology community where his specialties in efficiency management, quality control and software development has improved prominent corporations in their testing processes and building self sufficient teams. James Hooper holds a Project Management certificate from University of California, Los Angeles and is a certified ScrumMaster.
